Breakfast is often considered the most important meal of the day. But what’s the best place to fuel up before a big day of class or work? Sunnyside Café was voted the best breakfast experience for those in the Clemson area.
Located on Market Street next to The Inn at Patrick Square, the restaurant is less than 10 minutes, driving, from campus and is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday–Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Ranging from shrimp and grits to the traditional pancakes and waffles, there are plenty of options to fill a hungry stomach. Sunnyside Café has many breakfast specialties, such as the B52 Bomber, a 12” wrap filled with red potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, local pork sausage and black beans.
According to the Café’s website, the best way to describe the popular breakfast location is “farmhouse chic.” They even use locally grown crops and raised animals for their dishes.
“Our menus reflect a diverse offering of culinary memories inspired by years of travel, collaborations with remarkable chefs, and a love of unique foods,” Sunnyside’s website says.
Sunnyside Café also provides a lunch service that offers sandwiches, salads and soups. There are many different locations in Clemson to eat breakfast, but the atmosphere and quality dishes are what separate Sunnyside from others.
