Andrew Booth Jr. was a five-star and top defensive-back recruit from Archer High school when he first arrived to Death Valley. The cornerback truly has been All-In for the Tigers these past three years, earning him Clemson’s best male athlete.
There is certainly no doubt he has been a fan favorite from the moment he had his first tackle.
Booth has brought the fanbase excitement like none other, from interceptions to tackles, he lit up the field and brought energy to the Tigers’ defense. In three seasons with Clemson, he totaled 68 tackles, 51 solo tackles, 5 interceptions and nine passes defended.
As he announced on Jan. 9, Booth will enter the 2022 NFL draft. He is projected to be a first-round pick in many mock drafts as one of the top prospected cornerbacks in the draft.
He can be extremely valuable with his skills to adapt to zone and man coverage. Along with his coverage skills, he skillfully maintains attentiveness to the quarterback while staying fluid and in tune with his receivers.
It will be a hard farewell for the Tigers to watch Booth, this year’s best male athlete, leave and continue his career in the NFL.
Honorable mention: Men’s soccer goalkeeper, George Marks who was only one vote shy from winning and helped lead the Tigers to a National Championship this past season.
