On Oct. 16, 2020, Clemson University announced that the Clemson College of Business (COB) would be renamed the Wally O. and Anne Peters College of Business after a casual $69 million donation from the Peters. Many students took to calling the college the WAP College of Business (WAP COB) after sexual health enthusiasts and rappers Cardi B. and Megan Thee Stallion debuted their hit song “WAP” earlier in the year.
It did not take long for former child violinist and conservative commentator, Bin Shapiroh, to weigh his opinions on the matter. In August, Shapiroh read the song’s lyrics aloud on his radio show, censoring the explicit lyrics, saying, “wet a– p-word, p-word is female genitalia” in a now viral video. Listen, if my 60+ year old psych professor can say pussy, surely Shapiroh can as well. Later, Shapiroh, in a one-two punch on Twitter, said, “As I also discussed on the show, my only real concern is that the women involved — who apparently require a “bucket and a mop” — get the medical care they require. My doctor wife’s differential diagnosis: bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection or trichomoniasis [sic].”
There’s obviously lots to unpack there, and it is abundantly clear that neither Shapiroh nor his wife have ever taken Clemson’s Human Sexual Behavior course with Dr. Yuge Boner, or they would both know that vaginal lubrication is an important part of female pleasure. The only reasonable conclusion is that Shapiroh has never pleased his wife in bed. While this is unlucky for her, it is probably what she should have expected when marrying a man who was enraged by the movie “Black Panther.” To be clear, WAPs don’t need medical care; Mr. Shapiroh just frankly does not know how to please women.
As the world kept turning and Cardi and Megan kept being superstars and Bin Shapiroh kept disappointing his wife in bed, the Twitterverse moved on. But then, many Clemon students took to calling the College of Business the WAP, and Shapiroh awoke from his slumber like a bear coming out of hibernation and making bad political takes.
On Twitter, Shapiroh stated, “Heard that @ClemsonUniv students are calling one of their colleges the WAP. I, a summa c-m laude grad from UCLA and c-m laude grad from Harvard, would never resort to this childish name. I implore these promising young minds to shift away from these immature tendencies. I find it offensive to refer to female body parts in this manner, especially given my wife’s lack of experience in this area.”
There is currently no word on how Shapiroh feels about Schilletter Dining Hall, which students affectionately refer to as “Shitter.” Stay tuned as updates are forthcuming.
