The ACC announced its all-conference teams on Wednesday, with five Tigers making the teams to commemorate their excellent seasons.
Midfielder Ousmane Sylla earned All-ACC first-team honors for the second consecutive season. Sylla had a season to remember, scoring seven goals and assisting nine to earn himself the accolade. After being named to the first-team, he then scored two goals in the Tigers’ 5-1 win over Louisville in the ACC semifinals.
Fellow midfielder Brandon Parrish made the All-ACC second team. Parrish picked up two goals and assists so far this season, starting in all 12 games for the Tigers.
Joran Gerbet and Nathan Richmond earned All-ACC third-team honors as consistent players in the lineup all season. In his first season as a Tiger, Gerbet picked up three goals and one assist while joining Parrish in midfield. On the wing, Richmond has been dangerous all season, picking up five goals and five assists.
Freshman Pape Mar Boye found himself on the All-ACC third team this season as well. In addition, Mar Boye made the All-ACC freshman team, commemorating his actions on Clemson’s defensive line over the course of the season, where he helped create six shutouts on the defensive end, as well as scoring two goals in his first season at Historic Riggs Field.
