I’m sure every senior can remember their first day on campus like it was yesterday. You were probably excited, nervous and hopeful about a new and unknown beginning about to start. Well, let me just say if you’re a senior reading this, you are doing a fantastic job so far. This article is here to give you a list of activities to enjoy your senior year to the fullest.
Saying yes to things that life throws at you will unlock a whole new world of opportunity and open doors to things you may have never even considered before saying this magical word.
It is imperative for all seniors to take advantage of one last year of all the fun and opportunity these hills have to offer. Saying “yes” or “Why not?” or, in some cases, “What’s the worst that could happen?” creates your story, so make sure it’s a story you are proud to tell.
Receive your class ring and shake hands with President Clements
The end goal of college is, of course, graduation, so make sure to tick off the most crucial box on your bucket list that’s been there since day one, and make sure to match your well-deserved diploma with a class ring to have a little bit of Clemson with you wherever life takes you.
Attend everything you can
Go to Tigerama, the First Friday Parade, get involved in a club or an intramural sport and take a leisure skills class because you deserve it. Watch every Clemson sport under the sun. This may be the last time you will be in college, and even if these things aren’t your cup of tea, you may look back and feel like you missed out.
Experience Clemson
Upstate South Carolina is truly beautiful, and it can be difficult to find time to appreciate all the amazing sights with the overwhelming stress of school. So this year, get out there and explore. Watch the sunset on the Dikes, explore the Clemson Experimental Forest and swim in Lake Hartwell.
Do downtown right
Assuming you’re at least 21 years old, downtown Clemson has endless opportunities to make lifelong memories with you and your friends. Tailgate all the football games, sing your favorite songs on karaoke night at TD’s, paint yourself green and hit the town on Ain’t Patty’s Day, make sure to get your birthday t-shirt at Tiger Town Tavern and get a slice from Todaro Pizza after a night on the town.
There is so much more to do than just what’s here, and you may have other things on your personal list that are important to you. Either way, I hope you’re inspired to add these ideas to your list of things to do in the new school year.
