Coming off of a previous at home 33-21 loss against Louisville, Clemson took down the Virginia Tech Hokies on the road on Saturday, winning 24-14.
Sarah Pepe, a senior reporter for The Tiger, asked Clemson students about the success following the win.
Coming off the previous loss, what does the win mean for the Tigers?
“I shall give it to you right now: the last game was very discouraging to the Clemson family, as we have had such a strong season thus far. However, this win against VT has not only restored our faith but also brought a stronger admiration for the team. Our team always perseveres and comes back, and that is what makes the Tigers so great.”

What are your thoughts on the game?
“Overall, we started off very rocky, scoring no points in the first half was a major challenge and disappointment. Second half was a lot better, putting up 21 out of the gate to take the lead. Missing confidence in the first half that was gained back in the second.”
— Alex Rodrigues, junior finance major
What was the atmosphere like in the Stadium?
“Mildly electric atmosphere, smaller stadium than I thought. Death Valley has more energy, all the fans had energy for no reason while they were losing.”
