Kelly Bryant vs. Miami’s secondary
Kelly Bryant has struggled with his accuracy down the field this season, and Miami’s secondary has made a living on interceptions. While Bryant has only thrown six, the Hurricane defense has forced 17 picks. Miami is the probably the best defense he has faced so far this season. Bryant has to take car of the football if Clemson has a chance to win.
Clemson’s defensive line vs. Miami’s offensive line
Clemson’s defensive line has been the most consistent unit for the Tigers. The Tigers have 40 sacks on the year, averaging just over three a game. Miami’s offensive line has given up 22 in 11 games, an average of two per game. This matchup will be crucial for both teams in terms of establishing a rhythm and field position.
Clemson’s running game
In order to take pressure off Bryant, the Tigers need to establish a running game. With stars like Travis Etienne and Tavien Feaster combined with Bryant’s own mobility, it shouldn’t be too difficult. However, without the assistance of a good rushing attack, the Tiger offense could be in trouble.
