On Monday, Top Drawer Soccer released their midseason top 100 freshmen in collegiate soccer. Following an impressive season so far, three Tigers made the list: Ransford Gyan, Lukas Magnason and Wahabu Musah.
Gyan leads the Tigers, slotting in at fifth, with Magnason and Musah ranked No. 28 and No. 83, respectively.
So far this season, Gyan has two goals and two assists, so his ranking towards the top should come as no surprise. Earlier this year, he was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year in men’s soccer for the second consecutive year after earning it in 2023.
Magnason currently has one goal and has started in all but two games this season. His first career goal came last month in Clemson’s ACC opener against Stanford.
While he may be ranked No. 83, Musah made his mark on the pitch early in his career. Despite starting in only half of the games up to this point, Musah has earned four goals and two assists, and one of those was the game-winning goal in Clemson’s upset over No. 8 North Carolina earlier this season.
These three freshmen will look to keep their strong starts going into the final stretch of the season, as Clemson has just two games remaining in the regular season following its win over Syracuse on Friday night. Following those two contests, the team will head into the postseason with hopes of defending its ACC and national championship titles.
