Clemson makes stark changes to attendance policies
Clemson University released significant changes to its attendance policy this fall. The changes include new federal participation requirements and the first day of class attendance. Students are required to be present at each class’s first meeting this semester, or they will be automatically dropped from the course. Additionally, new federal regulations require satisfactory participation in all classes recipients are enrolled in. If a student fails to meet satisfactory participation requirements, any federal financial aid that was received will be adjusted after the last day to drop or withdraw without record.
Save the date: Ring Week fall 2023
This semester, Ring Week is scheduled for Aug. 29-31. During this time, Clemson students with at least 90 credits can make an appointment to purchase their ring. At the appointment, students select the build, color and quality of their Clemson Ring. The Ring Ceremony is scheduled for later this semester on Oct. 29 in Littlejohn Coliseum.
Class deadlines this fall
The last day to add a class to your schedule this semester is Aug. 29. The last day to drop a class without receiving a “W” is Sept. 6. The last day to drop a class without a final grade is Nov. 1. After that date, any class dropped from your schedule will result in failure.
