Itsurweiner basement opens Sept. 7
On Sept. 7, the Itsurweiner basement will open in downtown Clemson for the first time. The owner has been working on a new bar located below Itsurweiner. Complete with a dance floor and stage, it will feature live music and be called “The Basement.” Students over the age of 21 will be able to enter and enjoy the opening.
Tiger Pause: Clemson’s safety and well-being newsletter
Clemson launched another newsletter this year, facilitating campus safety updates and well-being tips for students throughout the school year. Tiger Pause launched on Aug. 29 via email. The newsletter contains letters and information from the Clemson University Police Department, along with Mental Health Moments and Campus Recreation Spotlights for students to see upcoming events and safety updates.
Clemson Career Fair important dates
Clemson’s Career Fair is for all student majors and academic years at Clemson. Students can connect with hundreds of employers in Littlejohn Coliseum on Sept. 26-28. Employers will be here to discuss their available internships and full-time job opportunities with interested students looking to take the next steps in their career journeys. First Friday Parade and tailgate will take place on Sept. 8
This Saturday, Clemson will play its first home football game against Charleston Southern, with the traditional First Friday taking place the day before on Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. Students, alumni and faculty gather and fill the streets of Clemson, stretching from the beginning of the parade by Douthit Hills past the Intramural Fields and by the Fike Recreation Center. The First Friday Late Night Tailgate will also take place on Sept. 8 from 10 p.m.-12 a.m. at the Barnes Center. The Cub will be present, along with food, games and cornhole to commemorate the first home game.
