The Halal Shack will be replacing Peppino’s Pizzeria next to Schilletter Dining Hall, Clemson Dining announced on Friday.
The Halal Shack will offer Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, according to Clemson Dining. The restaurant will offer both meat and vegetarian options.
“Halal food and meats are sourced and prepared following Islamic dietary guidelines to ensure not only the highest quality but also the humane treatment of the animals they come from,” The Halal Shack website states.
Many other universities, including the University of South Carolina and Florida State University, already offer this restaurant on their respective campuses.
More information about The Halal Shack’s full menu and the opening date will be released by Clemson Dining in the coming weeks.
