Clemson football’s 2027 class is starting to build real momentum going into the late spring. Following the Elite Retreat earlier this March and some official visits, numerous high school recruits came away with an offer from the Clemson coaching staff.
Recruits Bryce Kish from Michigan and Seth Williams from Georgia have already committed to the Tigers since the Elite Retreat, while others have offers on the table. Without getting too ahead of ourselves, now is a great time to look at what the future holds for Clemson football.
Bryce Kish
Bryce Kish is a four-star linebacker pledge from Michigan who has a ton of upside. Coming in at 6-foot-4, Kish offers a large stature at the position. He is rated as high as the fifth-best linebacker in Michigan, per 247 Sports. Should he stick to his verbal pledge, he could be Clemson’s first pledge from Michigan since Ruke Orhorhoro from the 2019 recruiting class.
Seth Williams
Seth Williams is a defensive back recruit hailing from Georgia. He attends the same high school as former Clemson standout Avieon Terrell, who played a role in Williams’s commitment. Williams is a three-star recruit and a very underrated prospect. He had plans to visit Vanderbilt, NC State, West Virginia and Iowa State; however, he ultimately decided to commit to Clemson after an official visit.
While Williams and Kish are two important pieces Clemson added to its 2027 class, there have also been some other important offers to note recently.
Gary Walker
Clemson has extended an offer to a new running back in this class: Gary Walker. This target has seen his recruitment take off in the past few months, as he is now a four-star prospect, per multiple recruiting outlets. He brings an ideal size to the position and is garnering attention from numerous other programs in the country.
Deshawn Hall
Deshawn Hall is a wide receiver recruit whom the Tigers offered recently at a spring practice in Clemson. Hall stands at well over six feet tall and is a four-star recruit from Alabama. Clemson is in the mix for his services and will have to battle many top programs for his commitment.
Roman Igwebuike
Hailing from Illinois, Roman Igwebuike is another four-star linebacker recruit. He currently holds over 40 offers from programs across the country. Igwebuike has become a priority target for several Big Ten programs and other top programs from across the nation. He has a tall stature, similar to Bryce Kish, and could be a quality pickup for Clemson.
Kalib Spivey
Kalib Spivey is another defensive prospect worth monitoring going into the summer. He is a three-star defensive edge from Alabama. Spivey, offered during the Elite Retreat, could be an underrated pickup for a Clemson team that needs to keep the cupboard full of incoming defensive talent from the high school ranks.
If Clemson lands any of these recruits, it would be monumental for Dabo Swinney’s program and the team he is continuing to build. The Tigers may have slipped in high school recruiting slightly in the past few years, but make no mistake: Swinney will continue to bring in elite talent.
