A Clemson University student was found dead at the 7-Eleven on Old Greenville Highway on Monday afternoon.
The City of Clemson Police Department responded at 2:29 p.m. to a call of an unconscious person in the store. Officers attempted to provide lifesaving aid but were unable to revive the person, according to a press release.
The Pickens County Coroner’s Office has identified the person as Joseph McPartland, 18, a freshman from Roswell, Georgia.
The Tiger has reached out to the University for additional information.
The incident remains under investigation by city police and the coroner’s office.
