At its 2023 fall quarterly meeting, Clemson University’s board of trustees approved the renovation of the Chick-fil-A on Fernow Street.
Located between Freeman and Lee Halls, the Chick-fil-A currently shares building space with a P.O.D. market.
The renovation will upgrade the dining area and remove the P.O.D. market in order to expand the restaurant kitchen space, according to a presentation given at the board of trustees meeting. Additionally, the Grubhub queue will be restructured to accommodate increased student traffic.
Construction is slated to begin in January 2024 and is estimated to be finished in August 2024.
