Garrett Fedewa, a famous TikToker also known as GFed, has been banned from Clemson University after trespassing in Death Valley.
Fedewa has over 484,200 followers on TikTok and over 43,600 followers on Instagram under the handle @gfedgocrazy. His content includes making “walk on challenge” videos where he tries to enter various college stadiums and arenas through an open entrance.
Clemson University Police Department officers arrived at Memorial Stadium at 7:18 pm on Nov. 8 after the Physical Security Operations Center showed a man, later confirmed to be Fedewa, on the surveillance camera inside the stadium.
Fedewa claimed to be at Clemson for a basketball game but wanted to see if he could enter the football stadium before the game started.
Fedewa entered Death Valley through Gate 20 in the top deck. He later received a trespassing notice from CUPD because he did not receive formal permission or have a reservation to enter the stadium. CUPD did not arrest him, and he left the premises calmly and without issue.
Fedewa has been posting this kind of content for two years. This was the first “serious police encounter” he had experienced, according to The State.
However, in late 2023, Fedewa was barred from the University of Georgia for two years after entering Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. According to TigerNet, he has also been banned from every NFL stadium.
Fedewa posted a video on Nov. 27 describing what happened with CUPD. While he said that he had filmed enough content for a full video, he added, “I want to post it, but I don’t want to get arrested.” CUPD told The State that posting “would not itself constitute a criminal violation” due to the lack of “pending criminal charges.”
Fedewa continued, “I fully understand there’s risk involved with the content that I make. I really just feel more unlucky than anything because this was the very last FBS campus in the lower 48 we haven’t been to.”
The day before, he had successfully entered Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, and Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina, the University of South Carolina and Coastal Carolina University stadiums, respectively.
Both of these videos were well-received by the respective universities, with Fedewa even receiving an invitation to attend Coastal Carolina’s final home game of the season.
As for whether or not Fedewa will be able to return to Clemson University, trespass notices are reviewed three years after they are given; this means Fedewa’s case will be reassessed on Nov. 8, 2027.
Fedewa concluded his Nov. 27 video by saying, “If you wanna try to do what I do, you’re gonna be taking on those exact same risks.”
