There are numerous spots in downtown Clemson for trivia enjoyers, but one stands out amongst the rest. For the fourth consecutive year, Tiger Town Tavern has been voted the Best Place for Trivia.

Trivia at Triple takes place every Wednesday at 10 p.m. and is run by two Clemson students, Madison Garrison and Lucas Dominick. The two of them say the variety of trivia nights is what has kept Triple the Best Place for Trivia for so long.

“I try not to be really repetitive for questions,” Garrison said. “We make our own questions. We don’t do a lot of repeating them whenever we do the same theme or do random once a month.”

Lucas echoed this sentiment, adding that he feels it helps to have students create the questions and run trivia to fit their primary crowd.

“Something that we would think is hard would be hard for everybody else,” Dominick said. “We try to make it challenging, especially because you’re going to win some Tiger Town cash at the end of the night.”

It isn’t necessarily just the questions and themes that keep customers returning to trivia each week, though. Triple co-owner Cameron Farish says the environment Garrison and Dominick create is just as important, if not more so.

“The reason we won trivia is because of them,” Farish said. “It’s not because of the building; it’s because of these two.”

Whether you’re drawn to the questions or the friendly faces running the nights, one thing is certain: if you want to play trivia downtown, you should make time on Wednesday night to head to Triple.
