Reflection Pond fountain schedule
The fountains embedded in Clemson’s Reflection Pond are meant to run seven days a week continuously from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. If the fountains are not spouting water during that timeframe, it is due to a specific scheduled event or poor weather conditions.
Poor weather conditions are indicated using the University’s control system logic which prohibits fountain function during windy weather conditions and when temperatures are near or below freezing. Potential overspray risks creating slippery conditions on the adjacent walkways.
Additionally, during area drought conditions the fountain schedule may be shortened or curtailed to minimize the consumption and loss of water.
For University-approved special events, it is possible to request an alternate schedule for fountains to be on or off by calling in a request two workdays in advance.
Second campus Chick-fil-A to be added to Hendrix
New renovations are underway in what was once the P.O.D. Market on the first floor of the Hendrix Student Center. After the P.O.D. relocation will begin the construction of campus’s second Chick-fil-A.
After the renovations, the Eastside Food Court will provide more popular brands, while also increasing seating and utilization of kiosks and mobile phones for sales, according to Clemson Dining.
There will still be a convenient grab-and-go P.O.D. Market option, but the establishment will move closer to McKissick Theatre.
The University anticipates the improvements to be completed by the beginning of the fall 2022 semester.
