Another week is in the books as Week 5 in the NFL has come to a close. Between some career-highs, disappointing games and a questionable roughing-the-passer call, here is how some of our former Tigers performed in their matchups last week.
Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback- Jacksonville Jaguars
Lawrence continued his up-and-down season in Week 5, falling short in a 13-6 loss to the Houston Texans. The second-year quarterback completed 53.2% of his passes for 286 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Lawrence also held onto the ball at times, scrambling for 29 yards on four attempts as well. The former Clemson standout looks to help his team bounce back next week with a divisional matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. 
Travis Etienne Jr., Running back- Jacksonville Jaguars
A bright spot in this Jaguars’ offense, Etienne racked up career highs in rushing and receiving yards. The second-year tailback rushed for 70 yards on the ground, including a 30-yard gain. He also caught three receptions for 43 yards. Etienne continues to play a larger role in every game and looks to continue that in Week 6.
Mike Williams, Wide receiver- Los Angeles Chargers
Coming off a 120-yard game in Week 4, Williams shined again against the Browns, reaching a season-high 134 yards on 10 receptions. Williams has reached triple-digit receiving yards in three of the five games for Los Angeles this year and continues to be an X-factor for them.
Dexter Lawrence, Defensive tackle- New York Giants
Lawrence continued his dominance overseas, as he racked up five total tackles (one tackle for loss. Most importantly, Lawrence had a crucial sack on Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers in the second half, building momentum to mount a successful comeback over the Packers in London. The nose tackle will look to continue his great defensive performance in Week 6. 
Grady Jarrett, Defensive tackle- Atlanta Falcons
Jarrett had a solid game, having three total tackles and two quarterback hits against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Most notably, the defensive tackle was credited with a questionable roughing-the-passer call on Tom Brady in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, allowing the Buccaneers to run out the clock and come away with the win. With the loss, Jarrett and the Falcons fell to 2-3 and have a matchup with the 49ers ahead. 
Isaiah Simmons, Linebacker- Arizona Cardinals
The third-year linebacker had a fantastic game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Simmons picked up thirteen total tackles, a career-high in his young career, with eight of those tackles being solo. Simmons also played 92% of defensive snaps, which was the highest mark of this season. Simmons looks to be the spark on a dull Cardinals defense in weeks to come.
