There’s a new four legged officer at the Clemson City Police Department.
Ozzy, a one-year-old miniature Aussie Doodle, is a certified therapy dog who will help comfort victims of sexual assaults and other crimes, according to the department.
Police say that Ozzy and his handler, Debra Shockley, have been training since October 2017 to earn the certification from the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
In addition to working with crime victims, Ozzy will also be present at many of the department’s community events.
