Best Mechanic: Buddy’s Auto Repair

David Ferrara // Alumnus
Grant, a mechanic at Buddy’s Auto, works on a car in the shop.

Nestled just outside downtown Pendleton, Buddy’s Auto Repair is a beacon of honest, quality service.

Buddy, the owner of the repair shop, has skilled technical knowledge and is very appreciated by college students who have a lot going on in their lives to be worried about car issues. Buddy is known all around campus for his quality service at a fair price.

Stepping into the metal industrial building, the smells and sounds of a mechanic’s shop make those bringing their car in for a service feel right at home. Buddy and his staff are friendly and take no issue telling it like it is. The front desk clerks are always friendly and put you at ease, and the online reviews reflect every bit of what service at Buddy’s actually feels like.

If you are in need of a new ride, Buddy’s philosophy continues through to his car sales business. While it is not his main focus, Buddy and his folks are dedicated to getting you on the road for a reasonable rate and make every effort not to sell lemons or clunkers. The selection is not immense, but his vehicles are pre-serviced and road-ready for any college student looking to pick up groceries or road trips for spring break.
