Clemson University has plenty of places to park, whether it’s for employees, residents or commuters. The Tiger has narrowed it down to just the commuter lots, and while there’s a handful of places available, one rises above all: C-1.
Sitting just off Perimeter Road near the Botanical Gardens and Lightsey Bridge, C-1 is the largest commuter lot of all.
It is currently undergoing heavy construction to build a new medical center in place of Redfern Health Center, which is currently located near the Hendrix Student Center. However, the lot is still one of the most reliable spots to park when you need a quick, easy spot that’s not too far from campus.
What also makes it one of the best is the CATbus access, as the Blue Route services the lot, picking up and dropping off students at Hendrix and the Academic Success Center.
However, if you want to park in this year’s Best Commuter Lot on campus, you must have a valid commuter permit. Parking services will issue a ticket as they periodically monitor lots to ensure all spaces are occupied by students or by permit holders.
