When it comes to pizza, it all depends on who you ask (and where they’re from). Each major city has their own twist on the classic Italian dish, but nothing compares to New York-style thin-crust. And serving that slice of the northeast in Clemson is Todaro Pizza.
For over 20 years, the Clemson alumni-owned joint has served pizza by the slice and the pie, along with calzones, stromboli and more. Thirsty? Besides an ice-cold Coke, you can get beer in the can or bottle when you dine-in.
When asked what makes Todaro Pizza different from any others, manager Daniel Bosworth could put it in one word: “tradition.”
“We’re straight off the boat. It’s real, it’s authentic and it’s family-owned. We stick to our roots,” said Bosworth.
Todaro Pizza’s signature special is their dollar slice night on Wednesdays from 6–9 p.m., where you can get a jumbo slice of cheese pizza for only a buck. Early-birds catch the worm too, since large pizzas are $5 off before 2 p.m. every day. For night owls, Todaro’s is open until 3 a.m. from Tuesday to Saturday.
