Police: Shooting investigation at Baptist church

The Clemson Police Department is investigating a shooting Tuesday evening in the parking lot of the Golden View Baptist Church on 105 Church Street.
Police responded to a 911 call at 6:46 p.m. to find a 19-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a press release.
Officers gave immediate lifesaving aid to the person until EMS arrived. The person was transported to a Greenville hospital for further medical treatment.
The person is confirmed to not be a Clemson University student, according to a statement by Clemson Police Chief Jorge Campos to The Tiger. The person’s identity has not been revealed by police.
This incident is unrelated to the death at 7-Eleven last Monday, according to Campos.
