Asian cuisine is currently one of the top international cuisine preferences among college students. The city of Clemson has taken advantage of that fact, with Asian restaurants dotting Clemson’s roads.
Located on Tiger Boulevard near Dockside apartments, Clemson’s Tokyo Sushi Grill boasts authentic Japanese style sushi. Not only do they offer sushi, but also hibachi, teriyaki, noodles and various sides and appetizers traditionally found in Asian restaurants.
While Tokyo Sushi doesn’t have the most varied drink menu, it more than makes up for it in dessert. The restaurant offers green tea ice cream, a rare and delicious find in a small area like Clemson. Tokyo also offers fried Oreos, fried cheesecake, lava cake and mochi ice cream.

As for dinner, prices can vary greatly depending on the meal. Sushi is reasonably priced with student specials offering two sushi rolls and a soup or salad for only $12.99. Hibachi and teriyaki can have higher prices, but one serving could easily be split into two meals.

The main room of the restaurant is full of private booths, with a small sushi bar to sit at and watch the chefs work. A small corner is closed off to accommodate large parties in a private setting. The restaurant has a separate room with multiple hibachi tables where chefs cook in front of you, perfect for an interactive birthday dinner.
