The Clemson University Police Department is investigating an on-campus robbery that occurred on Friday at approximately 8:50 p.m.
At 2:27 p.m. on Saturday, CUPD sent an alert that the suspect who committed the robbery was taken into custody without incident. The robbery occurred between the Strom Thurmond Institute and the Watt Family Innovation Center on campus.
According to the alert, the suspect approached two male students on a bench between the two buildings and started a conversation with them. While speaking with the two students, he struck one and tried to take his property.
The student who was struck attempted to defend himself, but was physically assaulted by the suspect. The suspect stole a cellphone charger and a power bank before fleeing the scene.
The student who had been struck was evaluated by emergency services and sustained minor injuries.
The suspect was described as a white male, between the ages of 18 and 21, with brown curly hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black zipper hoodie with gray interior and a gray T-shirt.

He is with us, but the wicked control this world. Sadly it’s going to get worse, and a storm is on the horizon. All we can hope for is to go home soon. Whatever you do, no matter how hungry and desperate we become..do not give in. This physical life is only temporary.
