Some time in the early afternoon of Jan. 30 a leak was reported in Johnstone Hall, leading to the arrival of fire department personnel on-scene.
The leak was due to a valve popping off of a water line; this resulted in a single room being flooded, but water flowed from the room into the hallway and under the doors of five other rooms.
In response, university personnel have pulled up the carpet in the hallway and are in the process of drying it, but it may take a few days. Clemson personnel offered any Johnstone residents the ability to move to other rooms while the situation is being resolved.
